[SEOUL, REPUBLIC OF KOREA – July 3, 2024] Brian Impact Foundation has published an extensive performance report detailing its major initiatives and programs over the past three years in celebration of its 3rd anniversary.
Founded in June 2021 by the founder of Kakao Brian Beom-Soo Kim, Brian Impact is dedicated to fostering a better world through technology. To mark the 3rd anniversary milestone, the foundation has published a performance report and launched a dedicated anniversary website for an engaging exploration of their accomplishments.
The performance report includes an introduction to Brian Impact, a timeline of milestones over the past three years, and a breakdown of cumulative support and expenditures across various sectors. It also highlights the outcomes of major programs such as Impact Ground and Brian Fellows.
The three-year timeline chronicles Brian Impact’s journey from its establishment in June 2021 to its recent presentation at the AVPN Global Conference in April. Over the past three years, Brian Impact has supported various fields with a total of 46 billion won. The report also details the cumulative support for each field provided in areas including changemaker development, science and technology/environment, children and adolescents, education, vulnerable/minority, medical care, disabilities, and creation of an innovative ecosystem.
The report highlights the key achievements of Brian Impact’s 10 major programs: △ Impact Ground △ Brian Fellows △ Side Impact △ Citizen Science Support △ AI Paper Research Support △ Network Support for Science & Technology Field △ Psychological CPR △ DiSEPA (Social Environment and Early Aging: Research on People with Physical Disabilities, Developmental Disabilities, and Parents of Individuals with Developmental Disabilities) △ Bravo Beaver △ Growth Support Program. Impact Ground, for instance, supported 21 innovative organizations, indirectly benefitted 8,394 organizations and 1.3 million individuals (as of 2023), and influenced the enactment or amendment of six laws. Detailed results and performance metrics for each program, such as participating organizations, cumulative support funds, and outcomes, are included in the report.
The report also includes remarks from participants in programs like Impact Ground, Brian Fellows, and Side Impact. Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital, an Impact Ground organization, expressed gratitude for the support in providing continuous rehabilitation services to children and adolescents with disabilities, stating, “We are deeply grateful to Brian Impact for creating an opportunity to address this issue with the help of technology.” Additionally, Brian Fellow Sa-gang Kim, a researcher at the Migration and Human Rights Research Institute shared, “Activities aimed at social change often tend to progress slowly without any tangible results. This is why fellowships are a significant source of encouragement and support for activists like me who quietly but consistently pursue these small possibilities.”
Brian Impact’s Secretary General Jeong-Ah Son stated “This performance report encapsulates the journey of our fellows and innovative organizations striving to create a better world during the past three years. Brian Impact remains committed to capturing and amplifying the impact of those who continue their efforts to change the world.”
